Flatlay of the wedding prints for Marissa and Matthew's wedding including save the date, invitation suite, and day of prints

Print Suite Flatlay

Suit by J. Mueser in New York City

Fall 2023

For our wedding, I designed all the print materials as a unified system. Every piece used the same grid, and three-typeface palette. A custom monogram appears throughout as a subtle mark that is constructed with the same proportions as the primary typeface, Edwardian Script. The illustrations were faithfully retraced from 19th-century wood engravings (both Bewick’s History of British Birds, and Thoreau’s Cape Cod) chosen for the way they capture the setting for the big day as well as the tactile traditions of print. All mail was finished with the same perfume Marissa wore at the wedding, to round out the sensory experience.

The Invitation Suite

Printed on museum board and edge-painted by hand, the suite included an invitation, RSVP, details card, and optional inserts for the afterparty and beach day. Each piece introduced the tone and structure guests would encounter across the weekend.

Ceremony & Reception Materials

The day-of materials carried the design language into the setting itself. Two-sided ceremony cards, dinner and bar menus, double-pass table numbers (letterpress and screenprint), coasters, and napkins all adhered to the established grid and type palette. The monogram appeared subtly throughout — printed on napkins, menus, and other small details — including signage and environmental elements around the venue.

Save the Dates & Thank Yous

Save the dates, rehearsal dinner invites, and thank you cards extended the system outward in time, using matching envelopes, stamps, and typography. These early and closing communications maintained the same tone and visual clarity, ensuring the experience felt cohesive from first touch to final follow-up. The monogram also made an appearance on printed materials for the bridal shower, including iced cookies and small guest gifts.
