Fall 2023

Key to delivering a seamless and cohesive experience for our wedding guests (young and old) was developing a website that mirrored the look, feel, and tone of the printed matter. I hand-coded this website with pure, semantic HTML, CSS, and JS and took special care to deliver information clearly, beautifully, and with all the affordances and standards the web provides.

Screens

A Perfect Match

The site uses the same type and grid system as the invitation suite, but fonts scale responsively to fit the visitor's device and dark mode keeps the viewing experience comfortable at night. Information is progressively disclosed, which makes the base site aesthetically elegant and intuitive.

"Something old, something new"

By keeping the site design bespoke and formal, I was able to add the things that make the web wonderful, like "Add to Calendar" buttons, private pages, animated image galleries, and links to helpful resources and phone numbers without things feeling chintzy or cluttered by third-party branding.
